Troop Merit Badges
Current Merit Badges In Progress
These are merit badges the troop has worked on in meetings or counselors have offered to work with the entire troop (Boys, Girls or both) at each scout's individual pace. For troop Merit Badges, time will be provided in meetings and/or camp outs but completion of badges are still the responsibility of the scout to work with the merit badge counselor.
Scouts, please check in with your merit badge counselors regularly with progress updates at meetings or via email following safe scouting protocol.
American Heritage Merit Badge
Feb 2022, Both troops will have the opportunity to visit Mount Vernon and complete the American Heritage Merit Badge. Counselor is Ms Sally.
Camping Merit Badge
March 2022, the boy's troop will be working on requirements during meetings. Counselors are Josh, Brandon, & Anthony, & Ms Farmer.
Citizenship in Society Merit Badge
April 2022 The boys will begin work on this merit badge during meetings.
Merit Badge counselor is Josh.
Cooking Merit Badge
Spring 2021 T346 Boys began plans to work individually on the Cooking Merit Badge with Ms Farmer.
Summer 2021 T346 Girls were offered and all accepted the opportunity to work on the Cooking Merit Badge with Mr Dugenske.
All scouts in both units should check in with their merit badge counselors to complete this badge at their own pace.
First Aid Merit Badge
In May and June of 2021 T346 Boys began work on the First Aid Merit Badge. Mr Jamie and Ms Farmer are both counselors for this merit badge. In completing requirements for First Aid, scouts will also be completing several rank requirements for Scout to First Class. Be sure to check in with either counselor to complete your requirements.
Moviemaking Merit Badge
In October 2021 T346 Girls began work on the Moviemaking Merit Badge requirements with Josh. Due to running out of time, additional meeting time needs to be planned for 2022 to complete this merit badge. Our troops can't wait to see the final cut!
In March 2022 the Girls's troop will be finishing this merit badge.
Personal Fitness Merit Badge
In June 2021 Both T346 B & G began work on the Personal Fitness Merit Badge with Mr Mike. Scouts can work on this merit badge while also working on physical fitness rank requirements for Scout to First Class. Scouts need to keep up on activity logs and have regular check ins monthly with Mr Mike for this Eagle merit badge.
Pioneering Merit Badge
In August 2021 T346 B & G joined forces to begin working on Pioneering Merit Badge requirements. Both troops plan to revisit this merit badge to focus on remaining requirements in 2022. (Details TBD at annual planning) Merit Badge Counselor are Josh and Anthony
Programming Merit Badge
During February 2022 both troops will be working on their Programming Merit Badge during meetings. This badge will be led by two scouts from the boy's troop for their IB project.
Space Exploration Merit Badge
In October & November 2021 the T346 Boys worked on the Space Exploration Merit Badge with Mr Boia. The assigned homework must be turned in and requirements met for this badge to be completed. Mr Boia is available for consultation at most Wednesday evening meetings.
Homework Requirement #2: Design a collector's card, with a picture on the front and information on the back, about your favorite space pioneer. Share your card and discuss four other space pioneers with your counselor.
*Requirement #3 will be completed at our rocketry camp out Dec 3-5th.
